Newark, Audible, Invest Newark Expand Business Attraction Efforts to Strengthen Local Economy

NEWARK – Sweet Jeans Kitchen + Espresso Bar, a specialty café serving a menu with the downtown commuter in mind, has opened on Broad Street with the support of Newark, Audible and Invest Newark. 

The ribbon-cutting at Sweet Jeans last week at 494 Broad St. marked a milestone in the growth of Newark’s food and cultural scene, offering breakfast and lunch fare, espresso drinks, homemade pastries, locally inspired specials and community events. 

Born to Newark native and Chopped contestant Michele Vaccari Harriott and business partner Victor Soldano, Sweet Jeans goes beyond serving focaccia sandwiches and cappuccinos. It aims to nurture community in Newark’s downtown retail corridor.
