Martha Baez is the Senior Vice President of Land Banking Operations at Invest Newark. Prior to joining Invest Newark, Martha served for 16 years in the City of Newark’s Department of Economic and Housing Development. She worked in the Division of Property Management where she was involved in the acquisition, disposition and/or management of city owned and/or leased properties. 

Martha earned her Masters degree in Public Administration (MPA) from Rutgers University-Newark with Honors (Pi Alpha Alpha) and has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from The City College of New York. She is a current member of Leadership Newark, a network of emerging and established leaders with the drive, knowledge, skills, and connections to improve Newark’s future. 

Martha lives in Newark and has two children in college. She enjoys reading and exercising.
